Dominic Rocky Laroche
Né à Trois-Rivières (Québec) en 1974, Dominic Laroche, alias Rocky, est un bassiste chevronné actif depuis 1986. Formé dès l’âge de 4 ans en musique classique à l’école Val-Marie, il poursuit ses études musicales au secondaire (piano, guitare, basse) avant de compléter une année en basse électrique au Cégep de Trois-Rivières.
Depuis 1990, il a offert près de 2000 prestations à travers plus de 35 pays, en studio et sur scène, auprès d’artistes tels que Steve Hill, Laurence Jalbert, Jean Leloup, Nanette Workman, Éric Lapointe, Michel Pagliaro, et Voïvod. Il a également partagé la scène avec des figures marquantes de la musique québécoise et internationale, dont Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Jason Newsted (Metallica), et a assuré les premières parties de Jeff Beck, ZZ Top, Santana et Metallica.
Présent dans les grands festivals comme le FIJM, le FEQ, Heavy MTL, Hellfest (France) et Wacken (Allemagne), il rejoint Voïvod en 2014. En janvier 2025, il se produira avec le groupe et l’OSM à la salle Wilfrid-Pelletier.
Animateur de jam sessions au Café-Bar Zénob et au Bistro à Jojo, il prépare actuellement plusieurs projets d’albums à titre de musicien, arrangeur et réalisateur.
